District 7690 is committed to eradicating polio through the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Five years ago, we introduced The Polio Plus Promise — a district-wide program where members pledge to contribute $100 US per year until polio is eradicated.

Why This Matters

​

• ​We're 99.9% there: Since 1988, polio cases have dropped by 99.9% worldwide

• Only 2 countries remain endemic: Afghanistan and Pakistan are the last strongholds

• Every dollar is tripled: Your contributions are matched 2:1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

• World Polio Day - October 24: A day to recognize our progress and renew our commitment

 

How to Participate

 

We keep the process very simple:

1. Make your pledge: Commit to $100 US per year until polio is eradicated

2. Contribute flexibly: Give in small increments, large lump sums, HAPPY DOLLARS, or through POKER FOR POLIO
