Rotary Global Trekkers is proud to announce its ongoing commitment to protecting Madagascar's unique biodiversity through a groundbreaking partnership with AID Forests. This initiative supports the renowned Ankoatsifaka Research Station in Kirindy Mitea National Park, a critical hub for international conservation research.
The Ankoatsifaka Research Station is an internationally recognized center of excellence, providing world-class facilities for scientists conducting vital research on dry forest ecosystems and biodiversity conservation. The Rotary E-Club of Global Trekkers supports the "Madagascar Project" by raising awareness of the project's essential initiatives:
Building and maintaining critical research infrastructure
Supporting cutting-edge scientific studies on endangered ecosystems
Creating meaningful opportunities for local communities
Facilitating global collaboration among conservation scientists
"This project represents our commitment to preserving the world's most precious natural resources while empowering local communities," says Dr. Domenic Romanello, the Founder and Director of the Kirindy Mitea National Park Biodiversity Monitoring Initiative and member of the Rotary E-Club of Global Trekkers.
By supporting critical research infrastructure, we are all helping to ensure that future generations can benefit from Madagascar's irreplaceable biodiversity!
