about US

We meet online via Zoom at 7pm EST on Wednesday evening on New York City time (GMT – 4).

Our Rotarians come from across the Globe and frequently travel... hence why we are known as Global Trekkers. We serve humanity through impactful community projects and with other like-minded individuals who believe that small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.

We also put an emphasis on FUN!

Why not join us?

We have a long history of service because we are one of Rotary’s oldest but newest e-clubs.

Our E-Club originally chartered on 22 February 1947 as the Rotary Club of Walnut Cove, in Stokes County, North Carolina. The Walnut Cove Club risked closure but a merger with Rotarians living in the US and Australia resulted in the charter the Rotary E-Club of Global Trekkers D7690 which formed on the very last day of the 2016-17 Rotary Year.

The Rotary E-Club of Global Trekkers is an incredibly diverse group.

We have members across the globe: USA, Australia,  Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, Colombia and the Philippines. We also have regular visitors from Brazil and other parts of the world.

We do service projects locally and globally.

Our E-Club is well known for the variety and quality of our service projects, consistently recognised by Rotary International and in our District Governor Awards. We have several exciting signature projects that we do every year because they are hugely successful. These are undertaken by our Rotarians located in North Carolina, USA where our EClub is Headquartered. Additionally, each member brings their own personal service project forward which gives everyone a chance to contribute to that project from across the globe. It's a unique way to do service for humanity and it works!

We Global Trekkers serve humanity, not for money, power or our vanity...
And not for Paul Harris Fellows worn with pride. But for a feeling we get deep inside....
Knowing we're helping others far and near. That's what makes us VOLUNTEER

What is rotary?

As Rotarians, we are dedicated to solving real world problems. That takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary's people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.

Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues. Our 35,000+ clubs work together across SEVEN areas of FOCUS:

  1. Promoting peace

  2. Fighting disease

  3. Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene

  4. Saving mothers and children

  5. Supporting education

  6. Growing local economies

  7. Protecting the environment

Join Rotary’s 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
