Julian Buttigieg is our newly appointed "Polio Chair for 2022-23" and is taking over from the incredible Michael Jerome who did an outstanding job in this role.
The End Polio Now Campaign is one of our E-Club's longest standing and most significant service projects that is part of the Rotary International campaign to help immunize more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. Together with Rotary International and our partners, we have reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide and we won't stop until we end the disease for good!
Over the coming Rotary year, Julian will be raising even more awareness about our Global Trekker efforts in taking this service project out into the communities where we engage. So on that note, we'd like to share how you can take action to END POLIO NOW.

Poliomyelitis is a highly infectious disease that most commonly affects children under the age of 5. Most know it as poliovirus. The virus is spread person to person, typically through contaminated water. It can attack the nervous system, and in some instances, lead to paralysis. Although there is no cure, there is a safe and effective vaccine.
